Entries are to be digital photographs and submitted electronically. Content alteration of digital files is not acceptable; including combining multiple photos. Cropping of photos is permitted, tonal or colour corrections are acceptable. Borders, frames, text or other graphic treatments are not permitted. Finalists will be asked to submit a high-resolution file suitable for print reproduction. AANB judges reserve the right to disqualify contestants who are unable to submit, upon request, a high-resolution photograph of at least 300 dpi at 8 x 12 inches (2400 x 3600 pixels).
ENTRIES AND IDENTIFICATION
Submission is via AANB’s Facebook (@ArchitectsNB) and Instagram (@aanbarchitects) pages. If you do not use social media, please submit your photo via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no limit to the number of photos participants can submit in their particular category; however, entrants must select the appropriate age category upon entering. Anyone may enter. There are two categories: under 18 and 18+. Entrants must own all rights to the photographs submitted. As such, entrants hold the AANB and the contest sponsors harmless from any breach of copyright. Photographs that violate or infringe upon another person’s copyright are not eligible. For a photo in which a person is recognizable, a model release is required. Model releases are the responsibility of the entrant and must be presented in the event the photo is a winner. Entries must be submitted online via contest entry channels as outlined above. The AANB holds the right to disqualify entries with inappropriate content, and those that do not fit the appropriate contest category. Individuals will be required to show identification with proof of age at date of photo submission should their photo be voted in the top five for their category. Individuals are not required to be a permanent resident of New Brunswick to take part.
Winners’ names and photographs will be published on www.aanb.org and on the AANB social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). The AANB reserves the non-exclusive right to publish any entry and/or use any entry in promotional and advertising materials. Photos published will be credited to the photographer where possible.
Submission deadline for photos is November 3rd at 11:59 PM (AST).
JUDGING & VOTING
Public voting will take place from November 4th at 12:00 AM – November 12th at 11:59 PM (AST). Voting will occur directly on the AANB Facebook page. Voters will “like” their favourite photo(s) that are located in category-specific albums (2); one “under 18” and one “18+”. Voters may “like” or vote for more than one photo. One (1) winner from each category (under 18, 18+) will be determined based on the highest amount of public votes received.
The under 18 category photo contest winner will receive an iPad Mini.
The 18+ category photo contest winner will receive an Apple Watch.

With regard to
photographs submitted to this contest, the entrant, or the copyright owner retains copyright. By uploading or submitting any photograph to this contest, the entrant grants (or warrant that the owner of such materials expressly grants) the AANB a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any AANB purpose, including, but not limited to advertising and promotional materials, its website, exhibition, and commercial products, including but not limited to AANB publications. The AANB will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses. Winning entrants are required to sign a release containing the above conditions.
