Conducted by CCDC members and contributors to CCDC documents, these CCDC Seminars feature both a morning and afternoon session, as well as a bonus luncheon presentation on new and updated CCDC documents.
Morning Session:
Understand the key differences between various project delivery methods, including design-bid-build, design-build, and construction management
Articulate important considerations when selecting a project delivery method
Compare the critical conditions for the effective use of each project delivery method
Learn how to choose the best project delivery method
Have an industry-first look at the new CCDC 30 ‘Integrated Project Delivery Contract’ and understand the roles and responsibilities of the parties under an IPD project
Afternoon Session:
Understand the best practices during the procurement and contracting process
Recognize key steps to avoid misunderstandings, disputes and delays
Learn how specifications can be effectively used in the procurement and contracting process
Identify recommended wordings for key stages of procurement
Have a hands-on look at CCDC’s first Master Specification, and an understanding of its use in the procurement and contracting process
Understanding some of the key changes to CCDC 23 and its recommended best practices
