Le Centre Touristique of Grand Falls requires an addition and a complete renovation, with an architectural design that will honor and embody the lush and rugged nature of its surroundings. The tourist center will give the peaceful impression of being tucked away in the wilderness, providing an escape from the stresses of the busy outside world and allowing visitors to experience a true connection with nature. A cantilever platform and pergola will help to enhance this feeling of connection with nature, while the choice of wood and stone for the exterior will give the design a naturally imperfect weathered feel. The building will be heavily fenestrated, allowing for an abundance of natural light and breathtaking views of the panoramic environment of the region.
