The twentieth Pan-American Architecture Biennial in  Quito XX BAQ2016 invites you to participate in the Biennial Competition. The BAQ has been held every two years since 1978 and is scheduled for November 14 – 18, 2016. The event consists of two parallel activities: a competition and an academic seminar/cultural segment.

ACADEMIC SEMINAR

The academic seminar and cultural activities include live presentations by major international practitioners and scholars as well as exhibits and activities by local and international institutions.

COMPETITION

The competition awards prizes to architectural and other design-related projects built in the Americas and to theoretical and historical architectural publications. There are 5 categories for entries in the competition:

B. Urban Design and Landscape Architecture

C. Social Habitat and Development

D. Rehabilitation and Recycling

E. History, Theory and Critic of Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape

F. Specialized Periodical Publications
